Nago R4 PAS 147
The NAGO R4 PAS 147 is an open, high-performance multidisciplinary saddle designed to meet the demands of professional cyclists. Refined through “MyOwn Pressure Map” testing, this saddle meets the needs of all riders seeking maximum performance and long-distance comfort.
This 147 mm wide model is the PAS channel version of the NAGO R4, the evolution of the iconic NAGO saddle—a Prologo classic first introduced in 2008 and winner of a Giro d’Italia and several Monument Classics over the years.
Anatomical Shape
The T-shape design ensures greater freedom of movement thanks to a wider seating area.
Its rear-positioned anatomical center allows the cyclist to easily shift position and make full use of the saddle’s length. The semi-round ergonomic shape makes the NAGO R4 PAS 147 ideal for riders with average pelvic rotation flexibility, while the 147 mm width makes it suitable for cyclists with a wider ischial bone distance, who therefore require a broader support base on the saddle.
Compared to the 137 mm NAGO R4, the 147 mm version features increased padding: 10 mm more on the sides and 3 mm more on the top. It is specifically designed for riders with a higher Body Mass Index (BMI), who can benefit from the extra padding for better weight distribution, as well as for cyclists simply seeking a more cushioned and comfortable saddle.
Technologies
This open version of the NAGO R4 features two fully independent sections, made from latest-generation variable-density foams, to provide optimal support and comfort throughout every phase of the pedal stroke. The central PAS (Perineal Area System) channel is specifically designed to relieve pressure peaks and numbness, improving blood flow and overall comfort.
Base and Rails
The rail is available in Nack (Nano Carbon Fiber): made of carbon fiber, Kevlar, and aluminum filaments—perfect for riders seeking maximum stiffness and lightness- or in Tirox (light alloy steel): offering excellent vibration absorption and a great weight-to-strength ratio. The base is made from long carbon fiber for the Nack rail, or in injected carbon fiber for the Tirox rail. Materials offering a great balance between stiffness and comfort.
