Prologo choice
CHOICE, The first integrated, modular, and aerodynamic road saddle.
After the Predator project, Prologo reaffirms its role as a pioneer in the high-performance saddle segment by introducing CHOICE: a patented product that revolutionizes the concept of the road saddle and opens up new perspectives in the high-end components sector.
In an ever-evolving cycling world, characterized by increasing speeds and ever more aerodynamic frames and components, the new Choice saddle stands at the forefront of a process of total integration, delivering comfort and performance beyond limits. Aerodynamics, lightness, and modularity define a product designed to meet the demands of modern cycling—ever closer, in both philosophy and performance, to the world of Formula 1.
Shapes, ergonomics, and materials
The Choice saddle, featuring an elegant design and minimal graphics, recalls the name of the first interchangeable model launched by Prologo in 2007. Today, this concept has been reinterpreted in a highly innovative way: Choice is in fact the first integrated road saddle designed to minimize aerodynamic drag coefficients.
The product was developed using advanced CFD simulation software and refined in the wind tunnel, ensuring unprecedented aerodynamic efficiency. Its futuristic shapes—also defined through pressure mapping tests carried out with the Pressure Map MyOwn system—are combined with a next-generation variable-density foam, delivering the perfect balance between comfort and performance at every stage of the pedal stroke.
Ergonomics are designed to match the high speeds of modern cycling and the latest frame geometries, allowing the rider to maintain an aerodynamic position for longer in total comfort. Compact dimensions (240 × 140 mm in the narrow version and 240 × 147 mm in the wide version), a semi-round T-shape, and a low weight of just 152 grams make Choice ideal for those seeking the ultimate in innovation and performance.
Integration and aerodynamics
The distinctive feature of Choice is its high aerodynamic efficiency, closely linked to the concept of rail integration. The Nack (nano carbon fiber) fork is completely concealed by the two sinuous lateral side wings, designed to shield the frontal airflow and channel it toward the rear of the saddle. The result is an extremely lightweight, aerodynamic, and responsive product in all conditions.
The design does not focus on a single component, but is intended to optimize the entire system consisting of rider, saddle, and bicycle. Thanks to a reduced stack and an optimized connection between the rail and the base, the saddle ensures greater structural stiffness, resulting in more efficient power transfer and more precise, controlled handling—especially on more technical sections and demanding descents.
Sustainable and patented modularity
Another revolutionary feature of Choice is its modularity, a characteristic previously unseen in a saddle of this category. With just two screws, the rail can be separated from the carbon shell, allowing individual components to be replaced in case of damage. This solution introduces a more sustainable approach without compromising quality, performance, or structural integrity.
