Proxim W400 is a saddle from the Proxim range designed to suit all types of riders, making it ideal for both e-bikes and muscle-powered bikes. This comfortable and durable product is perfect for off-road use as well as for daily commuting, thanks to its generous dimensions and carefully developed padding.

Ergonomic shape

Proxim W400 is available in two width options: 153mm (for a sportier use) and 163mm (more suitable for trekking, leisure, and commuting). Its shorter length (255mm) helps reduce contact points and pressure peaks in the perineal area.
The nose of both W400 versions is wider and downward sloping to offer greater support surface and increased freedom of movement when pedaling on the nose of the saddle.

Technologies

The MSS – Multi Sector System features different mapped and independent zones on the saddle, each made with various interactive foams and single-cell separated paddings. These “islands” work independently, adapting to all the positions the rider may assume while pedaling.

The Active Base System includes a base with a cut-out designed to relieve pressure and increase weight distribution thanks to a broader support surface, while also providing protection against water and mud in the most extreme weather conditions.

The new, softer and thicker foams used for the W400 saddle padding ensure a high level of comfort, allowing the rider to remain seated even during long rides (1cm thickness for the 153mm version; 1.7cm for the 163mm).

The saddle also features a rear “handle” to facilitate bike handling, and reflective graphics to improve visibility and safety.

Base & Rails

The base is made of carbon-reinforced nylon and features increased thickness to enhance flexibility and strength – key characteristics for gravity riding.
The T2.0 rail is made of a chromoly steel alloy, offering a strong balance between mechanical properties and technical resistance.

The version with recycled steel rails (Re-Steel) and a recycled reinforced nylon base represents a valid eco-sustainable choice that ensures comfort, quality, and durability.
