Innovative design and materials for high performance and maximum lightness
Dimension was the first short saddle from Prologo that the market saw. Its compact dimensions and the innovative V-shape design have made it one of the most appreciated and used by many champions; a true icon both on and off-road.
Designing a new version of an already state-of-the-art saddle is always a challenge, and in the case of Dimension, an even more ambitious adventure. But at Prologo we are used to challenges and the constant search for maximum performance, careful studies of ergonomics and design, combined with continuous research of new materials, have made it possible not only to further innovate an already iconic saddle, but also to create the best performing, most comfortable and lightest Dimension ever: the Dimension R2.
A new multi-disciplinary and unisex saddle, with compact dimensions of 245x143mm and a weight of only 135 grams, a 15% reduction compared to the previous model. Designed for professionals and the most demanding amateurs, always on the lookout for the most high-performance and highly comfortable components, perfect for road and off-road use.
The Dimension R2 features a completely redesigned front end. The width of the nose is 40 mm, 30% wider than the previous model, and with a more rounded side profile.
In addition, the central part has been redesigned and has a flat surface, to facilitate an even more advanced and aerodynamic driving position. Innovative design choices studied to further increase the comfort of the saddle, especially when pushing hard on the pedals.
Materials research has played a central role in the evolution of the Dimension R2, with the introduction of a new EVA foam that made it possible to reduce the thickness of the padding in the back by 20%, while maintaining the support and comfort that has always distinguished the Dimension family.
The materials chosen for the base and rail are on par with a model that belongs to the high-end range of Prologo saddles. The base is made of injected Long Fibre Carbon, a material that offers an excellent compromise between rigidity and comfort, while the rail is available only in the lightest and most performance version in Nack (Nano Carbon Fiber) composed of carbon fibre, Kevlar and aluminium filaments.
The new Dimension R2 comes in two colors, Anthracite and White, both with new new elegant and minimal graphics, with continuous lines that highlight the new shape of the saddle.
