PREDATOR//01TT
PREDATOR 01TT is the integrated time trial and triathlon saddle that represents the pinnacle of an ambitious and meticulous 18-month R&D and design process, which led the Italian company to create an extremely innovative, lightweight and aerodynamic model. Compact and high-performing, it weighs just 132 grams, perfectly meeting the needs of teams, time trialists, and triathletes always in search of ultimate speed and power.
Technologies
To further optimize aerodynamics, the shape of the PREDATOR 01TT was initially developed using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) software and later refined through wind tunnel testing, analyzing the interaction between the saddle, the bike, and the rider. The sleek side wings on the base conceal and shield the rails and seatpost clamp from airflow, while the rear section—more prominent and tapered than the previous version—channels "dirty" air coming from the rider's back in a parallel flow with the road, reducing drag.
The revolutionary carbon rail is actually a fully integrated plate, featuring a much wider and flatter surface than traditional round or oval-section rails. This patented innovation ensures maximum power transfer, improves handling, and enhances the connection between seatpost and rider throughout every pedal stroke – allowing the athlete to feel even the smallest feedback from the frame.
The PREDATOR 01TT is also modular and designed with sustainability in mind. The integrated plate and base are intentionally engineered to be separable, allowing for easier replacement, repair, and recycling of components at the end of the product's lifecycle.
Compact dimensions
The saddle's ergonomic shape – just 110 mm wide – supports maximum pelvic rotation, helping riders achieve and maintain an extremely aerodynamic position for longer. The seating surface features enhanced EVA padding to provide top-level support, while the wide PAS central channel running the full length of the contact area reduces pressure peaks on soft tissues for improved comfort.
The extremely compact measurements of this V-shape saddle (260x110 mm) are even more impressive when considering only the padded section, which is just 170 mm long. The saddle nose is 50 mm wide.
