Description
NAGO R4 147 Tadej Pogačar Tour de France is the special edition saddle created to celebrate the third Tour de France won by the Slovenian champion riding Prologo.
The Nago R4 147 is the model Pogačar chose to use starting in the fall of 2023, making his first race debut with a first major victory at Il Lombardia.
The exclusive design of the celebration version, echoes the graphics of the saddle that accompanied Tadej during the Tour de France to his triumph in Nice.
The yellow Tour base is enriched with the monogram with the initials “TP” and the Prologo “Big Ó”, the brand's distinctive sign found exclusively on the saddles used by supported teams and athletes.
In the center of the graphics, the Slovenian flag and the list of major victories won by Tadej together with Prologo stand out.
The Tour de France special edition, comes in an elegant black cardboard case with a celebratory yellow band.
The Nago R4 147 was designed from the needs of the professional teams supported by Prologo, and refined through “Pressure Map MyOwn” testing, to meet the needs of all cyclists seeking maximum performance and comfort even for long rides.
Compact size with a length of 245 mm and T-shape, with a slightly forward anatomical center, to provide good freedom of movement in the saddle and maximize pedaling efficiency in all positions. The semi-round ergonomic shape also makes the new NAGO R4 147 ideal for cyclists with average flexibility in terms of pelvic rotation.
Compared with the 137mm NAGO R4, the 147 version has 10mm more padding at the sides and 3mm more at the top, and is suitable for:
- cyclists with a wider ischial bone spacing, who therefore require a wider base of support on the saddle;
- cyclists with a high body mass index (BMI), who can benefit from the increased padding for better weight distribution;
- cyclists looking for an even more comfortable saddle.
The closed NAGO R4 147 features 3 separate fully independent sections, made of the latest generation of variable density foams, to ensure excellent support and comfort during all phases of pedaling. Beneath the center section is Prologo's Active Base system: a base perforated in the center to combine the benefits of a closed saddle with a greater support surface with the advantages of an open base.
The base is made of long-fiber carbon, a material that offers an excellent compromise between stiffness and comfort.
The Nack Rail (Nano Carbon Fiber) is composed by carbon fiber, Kevlar and aluminum filaments, ideal for more performance-oriented cyclists seeking maximum stiffness and lightness.
