Description
After having accompanied the best time trial specialists for years, Prologo's Tgale TT saddle gets a revolutionary design, the result of aerodynamic studies and track tests, ready to accompany the most demanding professionals and cyclists in their time trial challenges.
Designed using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) aerodynamic simulation software, the new Tgale was developed and perfected thanks to valuable feedback from great champions such as Filippo Ganna, Joshua Tarling, Stefan Küng, and Stefan Bissegger.
By studying the position of the pros, the area of the saddle actually used during time trials was analyzed. This area was shorter than the entire length of the saddle, which by UCI regulations cannot be less than 240mm.
From this study and in full compliance with UCI limits, Prologo's intuition and revolution was born: to create an ultra-high performance time trial saddle, with variable padding that is higher at the tip and in the central section, where the rider stands, and reduced to the extreme at the rear.
The tip of the saddle, which is completely flat, has 20mm of padding to provide greater support and comfort when pedalling in the maximum thrust position. In the middle section, the padding tapers down to 18mm to a cut-out, a "step" in the rear section that is not actually used by the rider, where the padding is dramatically reduced to just 3mm.
The cut-out in the padding between the front and rear sections achieved a twofold objective. A reduction in the overall weight of the saddle and improved aerodynamics due to the slimmer rear shape, which channels airflow from the rider's back parallel to the road.
The base, made of injected Long Fibre Carbon and thinned by 5 mm, also contributed to the reduction in the overall weight of the saddle, which at 234 g is 8% lighter than the previous model.
To increase the grip on the saddle and maximize the rider's stability, helping him to maintain the correct position on the saddle for a long time, CPC technology has been used in the front (Connect Power Control), the patented system with three-dimensional conical nano-structures that significantly increase grip and also improve vibration absorption.
