For years we have studied the anatomy of the female body, in close collaboration with the best women's UCI Worldteam and UCI Continental Team, with a single ambitious goal: to guarantee every woman a true champion's ride.
Prologo saddles have always been designed to best meet the needs of all cyclists, men and women. However, the vocation for the research of ever more performing products and the growing attention to the needs of women's cycling prompted us to create a new model of ergonomic saddle that is even more specific for women.
Months of research and field tests, with the support of 5 female professional teams and the direct involvement of Marta Cavalli (FDJ SUEZ Futuroscope), have made it possible to perfect the new saddle day after day, up to the final success: Marta's victories at the Amstel Gold Race and the Freccia Vallone. From these premises and these victories, the new Prologo Scratch EVA was born, an ergonomic saddle with a racing DNA, created to support the performance of the World Tour champions and the most demanding cyclists, looking for maximum comfort.
THE NEW PROLOGO SCRATCH EVA
Specific anatomical shape for the female body
The new Scratch EVA partly takes up the T-shape shape of the Scratch M5, a unisex multi-discipline saddle that has already distinguished itself at the highest levels by winning both on and off-road.
However, the anatomical shape of the new Scratch EVA has been redesigned to better adapt to the female body, moving the "anatomical center" of the saddle forward by 5mm. This solution allows the seat to move forward, thus increasing the support surface for the female pelvis, which is generally wider than the male one.
The result? A new saddle that is still highly performing, but even more comfortable.
Padding with variable density and central channel
The name EVA, in addition to a clear reference to the prima donna, also derives from the padding material, made with EVA foams with variable densities based on the different areas of the saddle:
in the back, where the sit bones rest, the padding is thicker and made with high-density foam, able to offer the greatest possible support;
in the central and front part, where the soft tissues rest, there is instead a thinner padding, made with a low-density foam to minimize pressure peaks.
This difference in thicknesses and densities creates a channel in the center of the saddle, with a large, extremely soft support surface. A targeted design choice to adapt and optimize seating according to the female anatomy, thus eliminating numbness, pain and possible reductions in blood flow. The central channel of the Scratch EVA combined with the Active Base System, a base with a hole in the centre, allow you to further release the pressure and thus increase comfort during pedalling.
Finally, the front end of the saddle was widened by about 10 mm and angled downwards, to guarantee a good support surface even in those situations, such as the steepest climbs, in which it is necessary to pedal while sitting on the tip.

Bases and Rails for different needs
For the more performance-oriented cyclists, who are looking for a rigid saddle and maximum lightness, the version with Nack rail (Nano Carbon Fiber) is available, made up of carbon fibre, Kevlar and aluminum filaments, which reduces the overall weight of the saddle at 183 g.
For those looking for greater comfort, the second version is available, weighing 232gr, with TiroX rail in light alloy steel, a material with an excellent balance between weight and resistance, which gives the saddle less rigidity and superior vibration absorption .
