NAGO R4 147 is the multidisciplinary and high-performance saddle designed for the needs of professionals. Perfected thanks to the "Pressure Map MyOwn" tests, this saddle is able to satisfy the needs of all cyclists looking for maximum performance and comfort even for long rides.
The Nago R4 147, which won practically everything in the 2024 season together with Tadej Pogacar, is the evolution of the iconic NAGO, the Prologo saddle created in 2008 and already winner of a Giro d'Italia and numerous Grand Classics over the years.
Anatomical shape
T-shape saddle that guarantees greater freedom of movement thanks to a larger seating area. The recessed anatomical center allows the cyclist to easily change position using the entire length of the saddle. The ergonomic semi-round shape makes the NAGO R4 ideal for cyclists with medium flexibility of pelvis rotation, while the 147 mm width makes it suitable for cyclists with a wider distance between the ischial bones, who therefore require a wider support base on the saddle.
Compared to the 137mm NAGO R4, the 147 version features increased padding of 10 mm on the sides and 3 mm in the upper part, and is designed for cyclists with a high body mass index (BMI), who can benefit from the greater padding for better weight distribution, or for cyclists looking for an even more comfortable and convenient saddle.
Technologies
The closed version of the NAGO R4 features 3 completely independent separate sections, made with latest generation foams with variable density, to guarantee excellent support and the right comfort during all phases of pedaling. Below the central section, the Active Base system by Prologo: a base perforated in the centre, to combine the benefits of a closed saddle with a greater support surface, with the advantages of an open base.
Base and Rail
The long fiber carbon base and the Nack (nano carbon fiber) rail make the saddle even lighter, stiffer and more performing. The version with injected carbon base and Tirox (light alloy steel) rail, with an excellent weight-resistance balance, it gives the saddle less rigidity and superior vibration absorption.
