Scratch EVA
Scratch EVA is Prologo’s first ergonomic saddle specifically designed for women.
This T-shape saddle with a rounded ergonomic profile has a racing DNA and is tailored to the female anatomy. Created to support the performance of both WorldTour champions and demanding cyclists alike, it's designed to deliver maximum comfort even on long rides.
Anatomical Shape Designed for the Female Body
Scratch EVA takes inspiration from the T-shape design of the Scratch M5, a unisex multi-disciplinary saddle that has already proven itself at the highest levels of road and off-road racing, winning in recent years: two Tours de France, Monument Classics, and several Cross Country World Cup races.
The anatomical shape of this saddle has been reengineered specifically for the female body by shifting the saddle’s anatomical center forward by 5mm. This adjustment allows the rider to sit farther forward, increasing the support area for the typically wider female pelvis.
Scratch EVA is highly performance-oriented, yet extremely comfortable, with compact dimensions (250 x 140 mm) that offer excellent freedom of movement for efficient pedaling in any position, from relaxed to aggressive.
Variable Density Padding and Central Channel
The name EVA not only recalls the first woman but also refers to the foam used in the saddle padding, which is shaped with variable density depending on the saddle zone.
In the rear area, where the sit bones rest, the padding is thicker and made from high-density foam for maximum support. In the central and front areas, where soft tissues rest, the padding is thinner and made from low-density foam to minimize pressure peaks.
This variation in thickness and density creates a central channel with a soft and wide contact surface — a design choice aimed at optimizing support for the female anatomy, effectively eliminating numbness, discomfort, and possible blood flow restrictions.
Beneath the central channel, Scratch EVA features Prologo’s signature Active Base System: a base with a central cut-out that further relieves pressure and increases comfort while riding.
The saddle’s nose has also been widened by about 10mm and slightly tilted downward, providing better support even in situations — such as steep climbs — where the rider needs to sit on the nose.
Base and Rails for Different Needs
As with most Prologo saddles, Scratch EVA is available in different versions to meet various rider preferences.
For performance-focused cyclists seeking a rigid and ultra-light saddle, the version with Nack rails (Nano Carbon Fiber composed of carbon, Kevlar, and aluminum filaments) is ideal. Already widely used across Prologo’s top-tier models, this rail brings the total saddle weight down to 183g.
For those prioritizing comfort, there is a second version weighing 232g, equipped with TiroX rails made of light alloy steel — a material that strikes an excellent balance between weight and strength, offering greater vibration absorption and reduced stiffness.
