Prologo Wins the 2026 Giro d’Italia with Jonas Vingegaard and Team Visma | Lease a Bike

For the third consecutive year, Prologo stands on the top step of the Giro d’Italia podium, this time thanks to Jonas Vingegaard. The Danish climber from Team Visma | Lease a Bike lifted the Trofeo Senza Fine in the Eternal City after three weeks filled with excitement and victories. Across 21 stages, he dominated the race and completed the coveted Triple Crown achievement, becoming one of the few riders to win the overall classifications of all three Grand Tours during his career.

The phenomenal 29-year-old, riding on Choice—the saddle developed in collaboration with the Dutch powerhouse—claimed the Maglia Rosa after securing five spectacular stage victories that showcased his extraordinary climbing talent.

His first win came on Stage 7 with the summit finish on Blockhaus, followed by a second triumph just two days later at Corno alle Scale. His third victory arrived on the climb to Pila, where he also claimed the Maglia Rosa for the first time. Stage win number four came on the Swiss ascent to Carì, where he crossed the line with arms raised while wearing the race leader’s jersey. The final confirmation of his dominance came on the slopes of Piancavallo during Stage 20.

Beyond Vingegaard’s magnificent individual success, this Giro d’Italia highlighted the outstanding collective performance of riders from the 10 professional teams competing on Prologo equipment. In total, Prologo-supported riders claimed 12 stage victories through:

Guillermo Thomas Silva (XDS Astana)
Davide Ballerini (XDS Astana)
Jonas Vingegaard (Visma | Lease a Bike) – 5 victories
Filippo Ganna (Netcompany INEOS)
Alec Segaert (Bahrain Victorious)
Alberto Bettiol (XDS Astana)
Fredrik Dversnes Lavik (Uno-X Mobility)
Sepp Kuss (Visma | Lease a Bike)

Prologo riders spent a total of 19 days in the Maglia Rosa. The jersey was first worn by Uruguay’s Guillermo Thomas Silva of XDS Astana for two days, then by Bahrain Victorious’ Portuguese rider Afonso Eulalio for nine days, before Jonas Vingegaard carried the symbol of leadership all the way to the final podium in Rome. Also stepping onto the podium in Rome was the impressive Portuguese rider from Bahrain Victorious, winner of the fiercely contested White Jersey awarded to the best young rider of the Giro. Team Visma | Lease a Bike also celebrated victory in the Team Classification.

One of the standout stars of this edition of the Corsa Rosa was undoubtedly Choice, the world’s first integrated and modular road saddle. This revolutionary product, raced by several top champions, enjoyed an exceptional debut Grand Tour. Thanks to Vingegaard and Bettiol, Choice secured multiple stage victories in its first season on the market and its first year in professional racing.
