T GALE TT
After supporting the world’s top time trial specialists for years, Prologo's Tgale TT saddle has been redesigned with a revolutionary new look.
The result of extensive aerodynamic studies and track testing, it’s now ready to support elite professionals and the most demanding cyclists in their time trial challenges.
Designed using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) aerodynamic simulation software, the new Tgale was developed and refined thanks to valuable feedback from top athletes such as Filippo Ganna, Tadej Pogačar, Joshua Tarling, Stefan Küng, and Stefan Bissegger.
Anatomical Shape
The study of professional riding positions revealed that, during time trials, only a limited portion of the saddle is actually used—mainly the front section. The overall saddle shape must still comply with UCI regulations in terms of length.
From these insights and tests, Prologo conceived a breakthrough idea: create a high-performance time trial saddle with variable padding—thicker in the front and center, where the rider applies pressure, and minimal padding at the rear, which is largely unused.
Technologies
The nose of the saddle is completely flat and features more than 20 mm of padding to provide enhanced support and comfort while riding in a full-power aero position. In the central area, padding tapers to 18 mm, leading to a cut-out or step-down toward the back, where padding is reduced to just a few millimeters.
This central cut-out between the front and rear sections serves two purposes: it reduces overall saddle weight and improves aerodynamics by streamlining airflow from the rider’s back along the saddle, parallel to the road.
The base, made of injected Long Fiber Carbon, has been slimmed down by more than 5 mm, contributing significantly to the total weight reduction. In its CPC version, the saddle weighs only 234 g, making it 8% lighter than the previous model.
To further enhance performance, the Tgale TT integrates CPC (Connect Power Control) technology—Prologo’s patented 3D conical nano-structure system. CPC improves grip, absorbs vibrations, and maximizes rider stability, helping maintain an aerodynamic position for longer periods.
