Prologo vince la Parigi-Roubaix

Prologo wins Paris–Roubaix

Wout Van Aert conquers the Queen of the Classics riding Choice.

Thanks to Wout Van Aert of Team Visma | Lease a Bike, Prologo returns to the top step of the podium at the legendary Paris–Roubaix. Riding Choice, the first integrated road saddle, the phenomenal Belgian rider managed this Sunday to tame the brutal cobbles of northern France and take home a historic and highly emotional victory.

The 31-year-old from Herentals overcame bad luck and punctures and, thanks to a fantastic team effort, held strong throughout this unforgettable edition of the Queen of the Classics, ultimately defeating world champion Tadej Pogacar with a powerful sprint on the Roubaix velodrome track. Van Aert crossed the finish line in tears, in memory of his former teammate Michael Goolaerts, who passed away 8 years ago during this very race.

Van Aert’s success follows that of last year’s women’s edition, achieved by the French rider Pauline Ferrand-Prevot, also from Team Visma | Lease a Bike, for whom Prologo has been Innovation Technical Partner for the past two seasons. In the men’s field, the last rider to lift the heavy trophy aboard a Prologo saddle had been Italian Sonny Colbrelli, who won the muddy 2021 edition.

Wout Van Aert’s victory will also go down in history as the first achieved riding Choice, the first integrated and modular road saddle. An ambitious and revolutionary project that immediately proved to be extremely competitive and high-performing even on the most demanding terrain.

Choice, developed by Prologo’s technicians thanks to valuable feedback from Team Visma | Lease a Bike riders, is a lightweight and comfortable saddle that makes aerodynamics and optimal power transfer two of its key strengths. The carbon rail is fully integrated thanks to two sinuous lateral side wings that shield the frontal airflow and channel it toward the rear of the saddle.

The design is not limited to the single component, but is conceived to optimize the entire system composed of rider, saddle, and bicycle. Thanks to a reduced stack and an optimized connection between rail and base, the saddle ensures greater structural stiffness, resulting in more efficient power transfer and more precise, controlled handling, especially on the most technical sections and demanding descents.

The result is an extremely lightweight, aerodynamic, and responsive product in every condition and on any type of terrain, including the punishing cobbles of Paris–Roubaix.
