Prologo is preparing to experience another Grand Tour as a protagonist. The Italian brand of high-end saddles and accessories will be present at the Giro d’Italia 2026 with no fewer than 10 professional teams. A total of 80 riders using Prologo saddles will compete along the 3,468 kilometres of the route, which will start on Friday, May 8 in Bulgaria and conclude on Sunday, May 31 in Rome.
The eight WorldTour teams sponsored by Prologo taking part in the 21 stages of the Italian Grand Tour will be Visma | Lease a Bike, Netcompany INEOS, Bahrain Victorious, XDS Astana, Lotto Intermarché, Groupama FDJ United, Picnic PostNL Raisin and Uno-X Mobility, while the two Professional teams using saddles with the Big Ò logo will be Pinarello-Q36.5 and Polti VisitMalta.

After the three Grand Tour victories achieved last season thanks to Simon Yates, Pauline Ferrand-Prévot and Jonas Vingegaard (Visma | Lease a Bike), who respectively won the Giro d’Italia, Tour de France Femmes and Vuelta a España, Prologo aims to remain on the top step of the podium at the Corsa Rosa. To achieve this goal, the brand will rely on the class of the Danish climber who, after winning the red jersey at La Vuelta in 2025 and the yellow jersey at the Tour de France twice, now wants to finally wear the Maglia Rosa and, using the new Choice saddle, complete his personal Grand Tour palmarès.
Alongside the Visma | Lease a Bike captain, the main favourite ahead of the race, Netcompany INEOS also has podium ambitions. The British powerhouse will line up with top-level climbers such as Colombian Egan Bernal, winner of the 2021 Giro, and Dutchman Thymen Arensman, a two-time stage winner at last year’s Tour de France. We should also not forget Italian time trial champion Filippo Ganna, who has targeted stage 10.

Also equipped to fight for a high overall placing is Bahrain Victorious, which can rely on leading riders such as Santiago Buitrago and the experienced Damiano Caruso. XDS Astana will hunt for stage wins with charismatic Italian riders such as Alberto Bettiol, Diego Ulissi, Christian Scaroni, Davide Ballerini and Matteo Malucelli. The Scandinavian Uno-X Mobility team will instead focus on the energy of young Johannes Kulset and Norwegian national champion Andreas Leknessund.
Groupama FDJ United will look to attack from distance with powerful riders such as Remi Cavagna and fast men like Paul Penhoet. Lotto Intermarché will also target sprint finishes, with quick sprinters such as Arnaud De Lie and Milan Menten, without forgetting a punchy climber like Lennert Van Eetvelt. Dutch rider Casper Van Uden of team Picnic PostNL Raisin will instead chase his second Giro d’Italia victory.
Pinarello-Q36.5 will also target stage wins, both with climbers like Chris Harper and sprinters like Matteo Moschetti, while Polti VisitMalta will rely on long-range attacks from experienced breakaway specialists such as Alessandro Tonelli and Mirko Maestri.

Prologo is extremely proud to stand alongside such a large number of talented riders and will support them throughout all 21 stages with highly innovative products such as the new Choice, the world’s first integrated road saddle, and the Predator 01TT, an extremely aerodynamic and high-performance time trial saddle. Energrip CPC and MIG gloves will also provide great support to riders of team Bahrain Victorious, while the comfortable bar tapes from the Italian brand, like the new OctoTouch 3D, will be mounted on the handlebars of numerous teams such as XDS Astana, Groupama and Picnic PostNL.
The Prologo team would like to wish everyone a great Giro d’Italia, full of success and satisfaction!
